Choosing Your Server Software
On the Software tab you can choose between two branches:
- Public (Stable) — the standard release, recommended for most servers.
- Experimental — an early-access branch for testing upcoming changes before they reach Stable.
Switching branches always requires a server restart to take effect, and Spawnly confirms this before the change is saved.
Server Configuration
Your server ships with a default server.json that's playable out of the box, including a starter scenario (Eden), a 16-player cap, and BattlEye and crossplay both enabled. All of it is editable — open server.json in the File Manager to change the scenario, adjust the player cap, or toggle BattlEye and crossplay. Since Reforger has no dedicated config editor (that only exists for Minecraft), the File Manager is where all server configuration lives. Changes take effect the next time the server starts.
