Comfort Base Builder
Comfort determines how long your rested buff lasts, and rested is the difference between comfortable progression and a grind.
How this is calculated
Each qualifying furniture piece adds one comfort, but only one of each type counts — a room with four banners scores the same as a room with one. The calculator tracks which categories you have covered so you can see what is actually missing rather than adding more of what you already have.
The arithmetic
- comfort = 1 + Σ(value of each distinct item type)
- only one of each type counts — a second banner adds nothing
What people get wrong
Comfort items need to be within range of the fire and under shelter to count. A perfectly furnished room with a gap in the roof scores far lower than it looks, which is the usual explanation when a build does not reach the comfort level its owner expected.
