What a pool is
A Credit Pool is a shared wallet, separate from your personal Credit balance — useful when a community or group of friends wants to co-fund a server's running costs instead of one person covering everything personally.
Creating a pool
From the Pools page, give it a name and create it. It starts with a balance of 0 — pools don't hold credits until someone deposits into them.
Adding funds
Anyone can deposit into a pool from their own personal Credit balance via the Deposit Funds button. This is a one-way transfer from your personal wallet into the pool; pool balances can't be withdrawn back out.
Funding a server from a pool
By default, every server bills against your personal balance. To change that, open the server's Overview tab (owner only) and use the Billing Source dropdown to switch from "Personal Wallet" to one of your pools. From that point on, both hourly usage and monthly renewal charges for that server are deducted from the pool's balance instead of yours.
Once a server is linked to a pool, anyone viewing that server — not just the owner — sees a Contribute button on its billing card, letting them top up the pool directly without needing pool-management access themselves.
If a pool runs out of Credits, billing for any server linked to it fails exactly like an empty personal balance would — the server is stopped and a suspension notice is sent. There's no automatic fallback to your personal wallet, so keep an eye on pool balances the same way you would your own.
Deleting a pool
Deleting a pool is immediate and irreversible — any remaining balance in it is lost, so move servers back to a personal wallet (or drain the balance via active use) before deleting.
