Castle Decay & Blood
Castle decay is on a timer, and a castle that runs out of fuel does not politely pause — it becomes raidable.
How this is calculated
Decay protection is bought with castle heart fuel, and the amount required scales with how much you have built. The calculator estimates how long your current fuel lasts at your castle's size, so you can see whether it survives until you next log in.
The arithmetic
- hours = essence ÷ (daily consumption ÷ 24)
- effective hours = hours × (1 + blood quality ÷ 100 × 0.2)
What people get wrong
Expanding a castle shortens its protection window immediately. Building out just before a break is the classic way to come back to a decayed castle, so top up fuel after expanding rather than before.
