Stardew Valley
Crop Profit Calc
Crop profitability in Stardew Valley depends on more than sale price — the same seed can be the best or worst choice on the farm depending on season length and processing.
How this is calculated
The calculator combines seed cost, growth time, regrowth behaviour, fertiliser and your professions into profit per day rather than profit per harvest. Profit per day is the number that matters, because a slightly less valuable crop that regrows can beat a high-value one that has to be replanted.
The arithmetic
- grow days = max(1, base grow days × (1 − fertiliser speed ÷ 100))
- harvests = 1 + floor((days left − grow days) ÷ regrow days)
- sale price = base × quality multiplier × profession multiplier
- profit = harvests × planted × sale price − planted × seed cost
What people get wrong
Artisan processing changes the ranking completely. A crop that looks mediocre raw can be the most profitable on the farm once kegs and preserves jars are in the picture, so check both the raw and processed figures before committing a whole season.
