Refund Policy Explained: Digital Goods & Your Rights

Why digital goods are different

Under EU consumer law, you normally have a 14-day "cooling-off" period to cancel a purchase. That right doesn't apply once you've consented to immediate delivery of digital content — which is exactly what happens when Credits land in your balance. At checkout, you explicitly acknowledge this waiver before completing a purchase.

Once Credits are added to your account — whether from a one-time purchase or an Auto-Refill charge — the purchase is considered fully delivered and is final.

What's generally non-refundable

  • Auto-Refill charges that processed successfully, even if you forgot to cancel the subscription beforehand.
  • Monthly servers deleted early — the unused portion of the 30-day period is not returned as a refund.
  • Pro-rated Credits from a downgrade — these go back into your Spawnly balance but can't be converted to cash or refunded to your card.

When a refund may be considered

Refunds to your original payment method are evaluated only in these cases:

  • Billing errors — you were charged but never received Credits (e.g. a double charge).
  • Extended service failure — Spawnly is completely unable to provision your service for 72+ hours due to a fault on our end.

If either applies to you, contact support@spawnly.net with your transaction ID.

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or Stripe without contacting support first is treated as a breach of our terms, and can result in permanent account suspension and deletion of your server data.
